Rad Dawg Quick Start Instructions

Retrieve Styles:

  • Wake Slow / Med. / Fast: Change your retrieve speeds while waking. You'll see erratic left to right shifting, bubbling, and more. Mix them up too!
  • Wake n' Stop Turn: While waking any speed, stop the Rad Dawg and watch it turn around in the water. Tap the reel just a bit for very subtle turns while floating.
  • Wake n' Pop: While waking at any speed slow down to a pause and then pop your rod tip for a good ol' blub and pop on the surface.
  • Make Your Own: Mix it up, get creative! Mix it up an and figure out what they want to eat!
  • Walking Slow / Med. Fast: Change your retrieve speeds for different walking styles. Walk the bait by quarter turns on the reel or working your rod tip. Or mix it up.
  • Speed Walk: When reeled in quickly, the Rad Dawg will surf across the top in a straight line leaving
a streak of water behind it on the surface.
  • Walk n' Stop Turn: While walking any speed, stop the Rad Dawg and watch it turn around in the water. Tap the reel just a bit for very subtle turns while floating.
  • Walk n' Chop: While slowly walking the Rad Dawg, use the reel and rod top and the Rad Dawg will start to chop in place with big surface action.

Configurations:

  • Wake Bait: Use the plastic bill and metal connector to use the Rad Dawg as a wake bait.
  • Walking Bait: Remove the plastic bill and metal connector to use the Rad Dawg as a walking bait. Use a split ring or other line tie type, do not tie directly to the metal post extending directly from the nose of the bait.

Change Configurations:

Convert to Walking Bait: Hold the head of the body in one hand near the line tie extending out of the nose. In the other hand, hold the stem of the bill and slowly pull the two apart. Be sure not to squeeze the bill and crack it. Where protective gloves if needed. Last, remove the small metal clip that was on the inside of the bill. Save both in a secure location. Connect a split ring, stealth clip, or your choice of line connection. Go fishing!

Convert to Wake Bait: Take the metal clip from the bill and put it back on the nose line tie of the bait. Ensure that the two open end of the clip are facing downward toward the belly of the bait. Hold the body of the bait in one hand, and in the other place the metal clip down on a hard non-skid surface - like wood. Take the plastic bill and slowly push it back downward over the clip until it stops. Be gentle and slow. Be sure not to squeeze the bill and crack it. Where protective gloves if needed. Go Fishing!
